Delete selected data without closing your account
You can request deletion of selected Fish Pro data while keeping your account. Sign in to the same Fish Pro service and account used to share it, where required.
- Public fishing pins: open Explore, then Spot actions → Public fishing pins → Load pins near this point. Select your own pin, choose Delete my public pin, then confirm Delete public pin. Wait for confirmation. This removes its public label and coordinates; your private saved waters and journal remain.
- Older encrypted cloud backups: open You → Privacy, backup & account → Encrypted cloud recovery → View retained versions. Select an older retained version, choose Remove retained version, then confirm Remove version. The current head is protected and cannot be removed through this control. Removing a version does not erase your phone’s journal or exported files.
- Optional usage reports: open You → Privacy, backup & account → Usage statistics → Stop sharing & delete sent reports, then confirm Stop & request deletion. Unsent counters are cleared and deletion of this installation’s sent reports is requested. If offline, keep the app installed and use Send pending requests when connected; check the status for acknowledgement. Your catches and account remain.
For other selected-data deletion requests, email contact@theappdevs.team with the subject “Fish Pro selected-data deletion”. Identify your community pseudonym, the service you used and the records you want removed, and say that you want to keep your account. Do not send passwords, recovery phrases, session tokens, payment details or private photographs. UKACC Ltd will verify ownership securely where necessary. Sending a request does not mean deletion has already completed; we normally respond within one month.
Some limited retry, security, audit or financial records may remain for the purposes and periods in the operator retention notice below. Backup expiry and erasure follow that notice. These controls do not delete data held independently by Google or other providers. For complete service-account deletion, use the account-deletion instructions.
Operator and retention notice
UKACC Ltd handles privacy requests and moderation at contact@theappdevs.team. The duty operator checks reports daily and arranges cover. Account data and owned community content remain while your account is used; authenticated deletion removes live account data and sessions. Your device journal, photos and exports remain under your control. Resolved reports are retained for 12 calendar months after closure; unresolved cases and documented holds remain under review. Legacy closed reports start this clock when the retention system is installed. Optional analytics become eligible for daily bounded deletion after 30 days; opaque erasure receipts expire after 90 days. Necessary security and business audit records are reviewed annually rather than indiscriminately purged. Minimum accounting evidence is retained for six years after the relevant financial year, longer if a specific obligation requires it. Encrypted purchase evidence and ownership bindings remain while needed to support permanent purchases, restoration, disputes and duplicate prevention; account deletion removes their account links. Recovery copies of the application database are encrypted on the operator's separate Windows laptop. The daily task runs when that laptop is available and catches up after downtime; it is not continuous backup. Copies expire after 30 days, cannot be restored through the tool after expiry, and are physically removed on a later successful task run. A minimal account-erasure ledger lasts 35 days for recovery reconciliation. Before using a restored copy, we revoke sessions, suspend restored accounts and reconcile later erasures, restrictions and provider receipts. The key is tied to the operator's Windows account; laptop or key loss can prevent recovery. Provider credentials and the release archive have separate custody. Providers may retain their own necessary records under their policies. Contact us for deletion or access requests; we normally respond within one month.
How Fish Pro handles information
- Fish Pro is intended for people aged 16 and over. Fish Pro-controlled Google network advertising, including normal free-user banners, is restricted to people who choose the 18-or-over age group; people aged 16–17, or who do not disclose their age, cannot enable these ads. The local age choice is not identity or age verification. Separately opened provider websites control their own content and privacy choices.
- Private journals, photos, saved waters, tackle and plans stay on the device unless you explicitly export or upload them. The server does not automatically receive your journal. Public fishing pins are a separate explicit sharing action, visible to signed-in community users together with your fishing username and a freshly entered public label. Private saved-water names, notes and photos are not copied. Approximate sharing is the default: the service rounds coordinates to 0.01 degrees before storage, showing an area of roughly one kilometre rather than the selected precise point. This does not guarantee anonymity or permission to fish. Exact coordinates are stored and shared only when you deliberately choose exact sharing and confirm location consent. Other people may retain information they have already viewed. Public pins can be reported and hidden by the operator; blocked accounts and suspended owners are excluded from normal pin views. Removing your pin clears its label and coordinates immediately from the active service; a limited account-bound submission identifier and content hash prevent a delayed retry from republishing it. Reports and public pins are erased when their owner account is deleted, and reports by a deleted reporter are erased. Moderation audit records may retain the action, internal pin identifier and time without the erased pin label or coordinates. Backups follow the operator retention notice.
- AR uses the camera and motion controls on the device. Ordinary play does not upload camera frames or raw motion readings. Optional camera AR uses Google Play Services for AR (ARCore), which automatically sends Google account identifiers, or device identifiers when signed out, performance and diagnostic information and API activity to Google for analytics and service improvement under Google’s privacy terms. This provider collection is separate from Fish Pro’s optional usage counters. This release does not enable Geospatial or Cloud Anchors. A competition submission sends accepted game actions and timing for rules replay; this does not prove device, camera or wrist integrity.
- Community accounts use a pseudonym, salted password hashes, hashed sessions and hashed one-use recovery codes. Public catches and ordinary game posts are self-reported.
- Optional Google sign-in asks Google to confirm your identity. The app sends a short-lived identity token only to the configured Fish Pro service, which verifies it and stores the Google account identifier linked to your fishing username. Your Google email and profile photo are not published in the community. Google account data is handled under Google’s own privacy terms. During a closed private beta, the service compares a hash of your Google-verified email with its server-only invitation allowlist before creating an account; neither the email nor invitation hashes are published. Signing out of Fish Pro does not sign you out of Google; deleting the Fish Pro account removes its stored Google identity link.
- Club posts and messages are available to their defined current membership audience. Competition photographs and evidence notes are restricted to the entrant and authorised review roles.
- Optional cloud snapshots contain encrypted archive bytes. Snapshot metadata and ciphertext are retained subject to the documented account quota; restoring and merging are explicit user actions.
- Optional forecasts send water coordinates rounded to two decimal places to MET Norway or, when configured, Met Office for UK points and WeatherAPI.com elsewhere. Regional providers receive the service IP address and rounded point, not your account or journal. Direct fallback requests to MET Norway also reveal your device IP address. Optional Google Maps sends the viewed region, IP address, device/SDK details, SDK crash diagnostics, a pseudonymous SDK identifier and pan/zoom interactions to Google; Google Maps privacy and terms apply. Google imagery is not included in offline downloads. WeatherScope’s website loads only when you choose Load rain radar. It receives your IP address, browser/device information and starting view rounded to 0.01 degrees; panning changes the area viewed. Its own cookies, privacy policy, terms and provider-controlled content apply; Fish Pro does not claim that website is ad-free. Fish Pro sends no exact device GPS, journal, photos, account credentials or API keys to it. Radar stops when you leave and does not load automatically in the background. Location permission is foreground-only and requested when you choose; no background location tracking is used.
- AI features are coming soon in a future update. This release does not request new AI plans or send fishing context to OpenAI. The free local trip planner uses information on your phone. Previously saved AI plans remain available to their owner. Any later online coaching will explain its availability, price and data-sharing choices before use, with an approved model and spending caps and separate consent. AI is not a current Plus benefit.
- Free Norwegian tide requests send a manually selected rounded point directly to Kartverket, which also receives the network address; a small private public-data cache expires after six hours. UK coastal tides use the configured UKHO Discovery service only after an operator confirms eligible access and reproduction permission. UKHO predictions and station responses are not cached. Location is never collected in the background.
- Provider API keys are entered only in the private operator console and encrypted in the server database. The dashboard returns configuration status rather than saved secret values. Saving a key never enables payments or paid AI.
- Fish Pro Plus is coming soon. New Plus sales are disabled in this release; AI is not sold as an available benefit. Existing purchase restoration and Google Play subscription management remain available. Google handles payment details; Fish Pro does not receive your payment card details. For restoration, the app sends the Play product identifier and purchase token to its service. The service verifies purchase ownership and subscription state with Google, stores encrypted purchase tokens and limited receipt metadata, and receives authenticated subscription updates when delivery is configured. An account-derived hashed identifier binds purchases to your Fish Pro account. Access is granted only from verified subscription state, never from an on-screen checkout message. Pending or unavailable verification does not unlock Plus.
- Ad removal is a separate one-time Google Play purchase when actually configured and offered to eligible adult users who can receive ads. It removes Fish Pro-controlled network adverts and paid promotional placements for the verified Fish Pro account, and hides optional rewarded-ad offers; ordinary shop and fishery search results remain functional content. Provider-owned websites, including optional radar, control their own content; this purchase does not remove their adverts or cookies. It does not include future AI or Plus, and has no automatic renewal. Its displayed Play offer supplies the actual price. The app sends its product identifier and purchase token to the official service for Google ownership and purchase-state verification, acknowledgement and restoration. Encrypted tokens, hashed account binding and limited receipt state are stored; authenticated purchase and voided/refund notifications reconcile access when delivery is configured, alongside later provider checks. Pending, failed or unverified purchases do not create paid access. Refund or revocation removes the entitlement. Restore with the original Fish Pro account and Google Play account; a token cannot be transferred to a different Fish Pro account. Availability and this notice do not establish live serving or successful real purchases.
- Manage renewal or cancel a Play subscription in Google Play. Deleting your Fish Pro account, signing out or uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription or request a refund. Google processes cancellation and refund decisions separately. Marketplace and booking payment availability is separate from Plus; an internal order, refund or payout request is not evidence of a provider transaction. A configured Stripe sandbox processes test transactions only.
- Free angler banners can appear on settled Home and Journal screens only when the build and service advertising configuration are enabled and audience-reviewed, you have chosen 18 or over, and a fresh Google User Messaging Platform privacy check permits an ad request. People aged 16–17, undisclosed ages and unavailable privacy checks do not receive these network banners. Advertising and privacy controls let you change the local age choice and revisit provider privacy choices; refusing to disclose age keeps these ads off without removing free fishing tools. Google advertising services may process device, connection and ad-interaction information and infer general location from the connection under your privacy choices. Fish Pro does not attach exact fishing spots, journal contents, catch photographs, camera frames or wrist readings to ad requests. Banners are excluded from camera fishing, casting, fighting, landing, map-pin placement, maps, conditions and checkout. No app-open or forced full-screen ads are added.
- Optional rewarded ads require an enabled, audience-reviewed configuration, your explicit 18-or-over choice and opt-in, and a fresh Google User Messaging Platform privacy check permitting an ad request. No ads appear in the AR camera or during casting, fighting or landing. Rewarded viewing remains a separate explicit choice; normal free-user banners are described above. Google advertising services may process device, connection and ad-interaction information under your privacy choices. Fish Pro does not attach private spots, catch photographs, camera frames or wrist readings to ad requests. Opening the collection does not request an ad. You can turn optional ads off and revisit advertising privacy choices where available. A cosmetic reward is not a paid entitlement or competition advantage.
- Usage counters are off by default. An explicitly consenting installation sends allowlisted feature counters and supported Android crash reasons without fishing content, location, device identifiers or exception traces. The random installation reference is separate from an account. Withdrawal clears unsent counters and requests erasure through an encrypted capability; it may remain pending offline. A private opaque revocation receipt blocks delayed replay for 90 days. Analytics retention can be shortened from its 30-day maximum. Expired records are excluded and pruned on service processing; daily maintenance and backup arrangements are described in the operator notice. Sponsor measurement and notifications are separate.
- Deleting the service account erases owned private snapshots, plans and social records and revokes sessions. Limited financial reconciliation records for both one-time ad removal and subscriptions, including encrypted Play tokens, receipt state and hashed purchase binding, can remain without their account link to prevent duplicate ownership and support reconciliation; they are not automatically erased by account deletion. Global AI spending totals and operational audit history may also remain. The operator retention and backup-erasure notice must state applicable retention and deletion arrangements. Account deletion does not erase separately exported files or the private device journal, and does not cancel Google Play renewal.
- Backups require the operator’s retention and deletion policy. A configured notice is an operator declaration; this service does not claim automatic backup erasure or legal approval.
- UKACC Ltd is responsible for the stated moderation, privacy and recovery arrangements. Account availability and provider approval are separate; this notice is not a guarantee of uninterrupted service.
